Parecía imposible cuando comenzamos este blog el llegar a las 100 fotos, lo sobrepasamos y conseguimos 200, el reto era entonces llegar a 500 y gracias a todos vosotros no solo llegamos, lo sobrepasamos y el día 10 de marzo de 2011 lo doblamos, consiguiendo 1000 maravillosas fotos, ¡Tal día como hoy ya hemos perdido la cuenta!, fotos que recuerdan al Caballito de la Lonja y a Ángel Cordero Gracia mi dueño, y publicitan nuestra ciudad por todo el mundo

Era una estampa clásica en la

ciudad de nuestros días, con su máquina

de cajón y su caballito; con la

sombrilla para preservase de los rigores

del sol en los veranos; con la

estufa en los inviernos, que de paso le servia

para secar las fotografías.

Los niños acudían a ver salir el pajarito.

y también los mayores. Había

algo ingenuo y feliz en el conjunto,

de ilusión renovada minuto a minuto.

El fotógrafo de los jardines de la

Lonja fue fotografiado muchas veces,

aunque no tantas como él fotografió

a los demás. En 1972, la Sociedad.

Fotográfica le rindió un homenaje,

porque Ángel Cordero Gracia

llevaba más de medio siglo en su

sitio, fiel a la cita de todos los días,

para alumbrar imágenes nuevas y

dar así testimonio de varias generaciones

de zaragozanos.

Ayer nos llegó la triste noticia de

su muerte. Ángel Cordero tenia se-

tenta y tres años y había pasado casi

toda su vida en los jardines de la

Lonja; cerca de sesenta años al pie

del trípode, de la máquina de cajón,

con la cámara oscura incorporada.

Sólo unos minutos y ya está.

Ha muerto el último «minutero»

zaragozano y con él se nos va, en

cierto modo, una parte de la historia

de la ciudad.

Marcial Buj lo entrevistó para

HERALDO DE ARAGON en 1953,

porque Ángel Cordero era noticia

siempre; yo volví a traerlo a estas

páginas en dos ocasiones más, la

última en 1972, cuando la Sociedad

Fotográfica le rindió su homenaje.

Ahora, Ángel Cordero andará

buscando nuevas imágenes con las

que sorprender a los seres celestes.

Quién sabe. Se nos ha marchado

montado en su caballito trotón, con

la máquina a cuestas, la mirada en

el infinito, sólo unos minutos y ya

está.

Pronto, los jardines de la Lonja

volverán a gozar de una nueva primavera,

pero será mucho más triste

que las demás, porque los niños ya

no acudirán como antes a fotografiarse

y ver salir el pajarito, aunque

otros pájaros sigan llenando de trinos

el ambiente.

Descanse en paz el último «minutero»

zaragozano, testimonio de más

de medio siglo de nuestra historia

ciudadana.
